Non-delivery by dell

Not sure if this is the right place but I have been awaiting a new pc from dell this pm. Despite assurances from the couriers that we were on the list it did not show. Unfortunately by the time that I gave up hope it was after 6:00pm. It appears that customer services is shut!
Does anybody know if they are open at weekends or do I have to wait for Monday.
I have sent an email but not confident of a reply!

Thanks
No sig!

It's the couriers you will have to chase (in the short term). Didn't Dell give you a reference for Walsh Western (I think) to use on their website to determine when delivery would be?

Personally I would be surprised if they deliver Saturdays, but if you were promised delivery today you might be lucky...

Thanks. I did eventually look on the Walsh Western website, only to see they are claiming that they tried to deliver at 12:07. They didn't and there was no card left!!
Have sent email, but not hopeful of a response before Monday. GRHHHH!

I'm afraid that claiming to leave cards is a common ploy by delivery drivers who have more drops to do in a day than there is time. Many carriers do deliver on Saturday (for which they charge an extra fee) but I suspect you are going to have to wait until Monday.
  • Find out who the courier was from the tracking website, ring their depot and arrange to collect it yourself.

NOTE: It won't be Walsh Western - they just deliver the PC's in bulk from Ireland to Coventry (?). Other couriers deliver from there to individual customers.

Then if you want to complain to Dell read this thread for some tips

Definitely complain to Dell. At the least you will get your delivery charge back and you may be able to swing a freebie from them as well.

Their deliveries are usually pretty good but we did have an incident at work where the courier refused to take the computer to reception which was one floor up and when I insisted he "dropped" one of the monitors down the stairs. Dell sorted it out swiftly and refunded my delivery charges. This was more than generous as I actually hadn't paid for delivery in the first place.

The last two orders I made from Dell, Welsh Western contracted them out to Businesspost. Worth complaining to Dell..

And if you are having problems getting through to the customer complaints department, ring up a new sales line and once you get through to them ask them to transfer you
