No sweetie I can sneak on and see what you have all been up to. Some of the nurses dont ike you being on the internet so sometimes I have to wait for a change of staff but I can watch DVDs on the lappy and read emails etc without being on line! It makes my luggage a bit heavy so I am actually thinking of a netbook next - when my home pc gives up the ghost i will use the lappy and then could have a netbook for hospital etc etc

Hi ladies, well I'm sorry to report I've not done much from the lists this week so far but I'll try and have a bit of a catch up tomorrow after work. I have however been food shopping (in my lunch hour!) and done the books for the agricultural show, waterered the garden. I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer for tea so we had frozen fish and oven chips and I'll do the curry tomorrow. I'm shattered now, won't be long going to bed. Take care everyone x
  • Evening all and a big snuggle for Onestop

Day two of flying, got through my list and bonus: my kitchen is still looking sparkly - I likey! :T

We have a big open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room so if the kitchen is a state the whole place looks rubbish and well... it kind of spreads. But it's looking lovely again this evening so I'm about to nestle down on my sofa with some hot chocolate :coffee:

I'm really liking the bite-size way of doing things… here's my list for tmw.

Quick update - apart from the concussion and the tooth, I'm fine....

sorry to have not been on earlier, but I'm only just getting my head back where it should be...

Remember I said yesterday I bottomed out the front room? Well, I stupidly left a filled plastic storage box outside the door of it in the hallway to my bedroom.

As I toddled to bed last night, I didn't bother to put the hall light on and promptly tripped over the thing as I walked my normal route up the dark passageway. Down I went big time.... I remember distinctly thinking F&%k, I'm going to hit my bedroom door with my head. And yes, I was right, I did.

I think it was only the glass of water I had in my hand that promptly ended up being thrown all over my head due to the aerodynamics of the position I was in as I went down that stopped me blacking out. I lay there, called DD who was fortunately still awake and came and applied cold compresses, sympathy and helped me gingerly to my feet.

Fortunately, the emptied glass managed, somehow, to remain in one piece and sat there, perfectly positioned on its bottom just as it should be, to the right of my head.

I woke up this morning feeling rather sore in various places and with a head that was as wobbly as a weeble and which has a very tender bruise on one side.

I managed to make the dentist - only just and it was an interesting experience trying to drive when you're sort of seeing double but not quite and I probably shouldn't have driven but hey, Soappie's made of stern stuff.

I almost passed out as I got to the dentist chair and it wasn't from fear. But the lay down as he managed, bless him, to repair the broken tooth with a bit of extra filling helped, it was either that or the pain as he decided to drill without anaesthetic and the nurse put the cold air blowy thing in my mouth that kept me conscious.

Tooth nerve pain certainly hits spots other pains don't reach and the resulting adrenalin rush keeps one alert...

I am feeling much better this evening internal head wise - I can focus properly and don't do the swimmy thing any more, though I have a sore neck (probably a form of whiplash) and a bruised shin and arm.

Moral of the tale ladies - IF you decide to declutter stuff DON'T leave boxes lying in places where they may get tripped over!
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
