Is there an easy way to synchronize files or is it better to copy and paste?
I don't use Apple products much but someone asked me to copy a couple of files to his iphone and it was an absolute nightmare. I had to download itunes and then it appeared to sync all my files with his! I don't think there is any other way of doing it.
I also use Opera and their sync procedure for bookmarks etc looks just as confusing although it would be great having your settings the same on all computers.

Hi Stewart,
Can you confirm what it is that you are trying to synchronise, just normal files, and is it between multiple computers in the same network or over the internet?
Also are the computers mac's or pc's or both?
Cheers

Your friend told you the wrong way to do it. The Ipod would have shown up in My Computer as a removable hard drive and all you had to do was copy the files to that.0

Thanks for the replies. I was trying to copy a couple of MP3's from a Win7 computer to an iPhone. Not being Apple literate I understood you couldn't just copy and paste from the Win7 machine to the iPhone.
From your replies it appears you can....I haven't got the iPhone handy now so I cannot try it:mad:0 -
I still haven't got my friends iPhone but it appears you cannot just copy and paste MP3's to it from Win7....

Thanks. I am not going round the bend then:D
