Hey,
I start my MSc course in October having graduated from my BSc back in 2005. I'm in the process of getting my finances in order but I'm struggling to find much information concerning 'postgraduate' accounts, rather than 'graduate' or 'student' accounts. Does anyone know of a good comparison site before I trawl each of the banks individually? I'm amazed that I haven't yet found one but google doesn't appear to want to cooperate with me, any help (or recommendations!) would be appreciated...

Not sure about comparison sites but when I asked the Halifax they just said to get a regular student account so that's what I did.Debt: Started at £4780, now at £4190

everyone i know in that position (me included!) just had a standard student account - i don't know of any accounts specifically for postgrad students:happyhear0

Ditto - I haven't heard of specialist post-grad accounts. I went straight from under-grad to post-grad without a break, Halifax said I could keep the same student account I already had.0

Hey,
Thanks for the responses! I graduated back in 2005 so my student account is long gone, I'd need to open a new one and assumed that undergrad (3 year courses) and postgrad (typically 1 year courses) would have different options?
I know that Santander have a dedicated 'post grad' account (though the staff in my local branch couldn't tell me much about it), I might have to wait until I'm 'on campus' before getting any further I think...
Thanks again,

Hi, I applied to NatWest to convert my account into a student account, three years after originally graduating, when I went back to do a one-year MA. If you do choose NatWest take a copy of the Student/Graduate booklet, it does say in there that 1-year postgrads are eligible for the account but you may need to show that to the staff, as some of them think postgrads aren't eligible.Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225
