Hi guys,
My Graphics card is overheating, it is around 74 degrees idle.
I just changed over my graphics card because the other one ultimately failed, most likely due to over heating i have now concluded. The new one is having similar problems in the last fortnight after working fine for a month or two.
However, i'm not sure what i should do? Should i purchase an additional fan or replace the current one? Also i don't know much about the technically different types of things (e.g., heatsinks, water-cooling etc.)
Once i work out what i need to do i am fairly adept at fitting hardware etc just not sure on what would be best.
Any ideas?

Google for heatsink/fans/coolers for your card. read reviews. Buy one.
It's just a case of unscrewing the old one and fitting a new one, but it needs to be one for that specific card.
You might want to look at airflow in the case too. One fan sucking in at the front, one blowing out at the back. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
it might be better if you get a extra pc fan as well as it could be that theres not enough air going into the pc.0

Yup, you may improve the situation by increasing the general case cooling....0

What graphics card is it? & what case is it in? Have you checked that the case fans are working?0
