re-hanging a door and advice on cloakroom basin

Options
I have a tiny toilet that is separate to my bathroom and has no sink in it which really annoys me. I have been thinking that if the door opened out instead of in to the room I might be able to fix a tiny cloakroom basin in there. Is it a fairly straightforward job to rehang the door and are there any reasons why someone might not be able to do it?

I have seen some tiny basins but am not sure whether the smallest ones will be a bit too little to do their job. For example, can you wash your hands into a 25cm projection sink without soaking yourself?

Also, I obviously have a cold water feed into that room for the toilet, how easy will it be to get hot water to that sink. I will probably be getting the adjoining bathroom done at the same time if this helps. I am planning to get a plumber to do everything for me but just want an idea of what he will need to do.

I had a quick look at a previous thread from a few years ago that asked similar things but there was no real conclusion to it. I'm hoping someone out there has a bit of experience.

Yes its easy job but just change the hinges the other way around and allow the change of hinges so might need to chisel some of the door for the hinges to be reversed a DIYer can do it, hopefully its okay for door to open out without hitting anything

Thanks, I want it to still open from the same side so it looks like I will need a new door because the holes for the handle will be on the wrong side, I hadnt thought of that. I am wondering if I could just turn it upside down but my guess it that it somehow wouldnt work!

ecofriendly - I have looked at those, its a really clever idea but not sure I am really ready for it and would rather have a real basin if I could. Do those ones only use cold water?

If it is only a tiny cloak room as you state. I don't think that I have ever bothered to use the hot water in the small sink, if I'm just doing a quick rinse of my hands. It would take far too long for the dead leg to heat up. If I was plumbing it again I am not sure that I would bother installing a hot water supply.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Good evening: see page 19....you need a hot supply to the basin.

Thanks for all the help so far. I would definitely want hot water whether it were regulations or not and I figure with the disruption of having the basin fitted and the cold and waste plumbed to it then one extra pipe wont make much difference.

Having had a closer look, the cold water pipe is knocked through from the bathroom with a hole so big they could easily fit a hot pipe through there too. Where would the waste pipe drain to though? Would they send it back into the bathroom and under the bath to drain out of there? I just like to know what I am getting myself into!
