Delivery company have damaged paintwork

Options
I have finally had a new LG American FF delivered however, the delivery company has damaged the paintwork around the door from my garage to utility and the door between utility /kitchen. They've taken the gloss off down to the wood on the architrave on doorway and the doors both have scratches. They've also scratched the garage floor which is painted.

The delivery "men" never stopped complaining about having to deliver it they were 55+ and overweight and looked like they were about to collapse.

It was a disaster.

LG arranged the delivery as they've replaced the FF but it was an independent delivery company. Its still not working as none of the pipes are connected as yet.

I sent an email to LG at 4pm Friday with photographs of damage and asked them:

a) details of a manager at the delivery company who can deal with issue of damage and
b) when the engineer is coming to install the FF!

Has anyone any comments or experineced damage by delivery drivers before - what was done by the delivery company?

Thanks for any advice!

Cant you just patch up the paintwork around the door. Scratches can easily be sanded down and then repainted to make like new

I know they shouldn't have damaged it but just complaining when by sounds of it the work can easily be recertified without much costs doesn't seem like it worth making a complaint

The floor can be also patched up as good as new by filling any scratches with some cement to smooth finish and lightly painted

This will involve re-glossing two doors and the whole of two door frames so that the gloss doesnt look a different colour given that light affects gloss so much it will need to be the lot that needs repainting - its more the time and effort Im going to have to go to in repairing the door frames and doors when it shouldnt have happended to start with - but I agree that you dont always get very far with complaints, probably just my frustration that Ive been trying to get this FF replaced for 7 weeks and now its here its still not working and they've damaged the gloss paintwork!! Ill see what they say Monday I guess!
