Extended guarantee on Miele vacuum cleaner

Not sure if this is the right place, but will try anyway!
I bought a new Miele Cat and Dog vacuum cleaner in Comet yesterday.
The salesman, as they do, offered me a 3 year extended guarantee for £30, which I declined.
Inside the vacuum cleaner box there is a leafet offering a Miele 10 year guarantee for £30.
I don't know if this is a standard with Miele products (this is the first of theirs I have ever purchased) or if it's a limited offer thing, but it's definitely a better offer than the Comet one!
I will definitely be taking up the Miele offer.

I believe it's a limited offer thing which they often run; there was something similar when we bought our Miele vacuum a few years back.0
