Wireless has disappeared

OH installed the latest addition of norton last night whille I was out, he's at work now and I can't contact him but I can't get the laptop to connect to the internet at all.
The wireless button seems to have been uninstalled and I've tried everything I can think of to get it back when you press it it's just not responding
All the connections seem to be wrong too, I'm really stuck any ideas?
Norton utillities was also installed so I thought it was something to do with this and uninstalled it but that didn't work either!

Try a System Restore to a point before Norton was installed.
