Hi mse's

I thought i would let everybody know about my switchover from BT to 02 home phone . Everything was going cushty untill i got my switchover date , bear in mind i did mention when ordering that i did not want o2 to take over untill the 9 .08.10 when my current contract ends with bt .So i get the email & text message saying my start date was going to be 30.07.10:o .So i phoned o2 and asked if i could change my start date , as i didnt want to be charged by bt for canceling my contract early.
I was told that o2 could'nt change my start date and that i would have to cancel the order , but i could not re-order home phone  .WHY ? i dont know
I have never had an issue with o2 before , but i 'm glad i never puchased the service from them now , didnt think that it would be such a hard task to give the customer what he requires .
Anyway i called BT back and got my line rental down to £9.79 pm :rotfl:

Just a rant guys !

Minus £1.25/month paper-free discount = £8.54 (so, you were given the £3/month line rental discount, paid as a £36 up-front lump sum).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Their ts + cs cover cancellations under the cooling off period like this:

If you terminate your contract during the Cooling Off Period, you may not be able to request the Services at the same installation address for 6 months after the end of the Cooling Off Period
