First Choice Holiday Hmkt - Currency- Beware

Options
Hi
Popped into First Choice Hypermarket, Serpentine Green, Peterborough for NO Commision euros. Beware the receipt automatically adds a 3.95 charge. This is so you can return up to 200 unused currency. This is fine if they asked you if you want this service first (which they are supposed to). We was is a queue and did not hear any of the 3 cashiers offer this service to anyone that was automatically put on the receipt as when it is refused they take the charge of manually. So if you have had currency from them check your receipt. We are going back into Serpentine Green, Peterborough for our refund and reporting this practice to trading standards.

I used to work in the foreign exchange in First Choice. We were told never to tell the customer about the £3.50 ( the charge 3 years ago) as this is the way the cashier makes their commision. Also we were not to tell the customer the rate we sold the euro or dollar at unless they asked. I knew this was wrong and only stayed with the company for 6 months as it was target this, commision that and if you didn't make your weekly target the area manager would want an explaination why. I'm so glad i got out of that place!!
  • thanks for your replies has anyone got any e mail addresses for First Choice directors or managers for me. If you think martin would be interested can you tell me how to contact him.
    thankyou
