in Techie Stuff
My OH's laptop has started opening sites we don't want!! We google a word/phrase and get the usual list of sites, but when we click on one, instead of opening the link it opens something else totally randomly - not !!!!!! stuff, not anything that seems to be trying to sell us stuff, just anything weird and wonderful and totally unrelated to what we're searching on
He's checked that it's set to search web, and not to anything specific - as far as we know it has the same settings as mine which behaves perfectly normally.
We don't get the self-perpetuating pop ups like some dodgy sites do, just opens something for no reason and it's just bloody irritating having to keep going back to try again (and again and again and again sometimes)
Anyone who can shed any light or help us get rid will have our eternal gratitude

errrrr not sure what you're saying...I may be blonde but not sure what I'm missing here
I'm not saying anything about viruses - just the fact I click on a link to get to the homepage for a local restaurant and get an american denim manufacturer instead isn't helpful and on the umpteenth time gets bloody irritating :huh:0 -
