Nat West Maestro Problems

Hi all,

I Have been trying to book 2 tickets online for the London Eye using my Nat West Maestro card. When I clck the payment button I keep getting the following message:

"Unable to process payment

We have been unable to process your payment card details and your transaction has been cancelled.
Please try again later. If this problem persists please phone our Contact Centre on the number displayed below and they will assist you with your purchase (DC_06)"

Now I have tried 3 time now and keep getting the above message. I have tried ringing the number but it is a automated service, and not much help.

I know the Maestro card is ok because I booked train tickets with it earlier today.

My question is,

Is there a chance that each time I try to book, my bank account is getting debited? Nothing gone out yet (including the train tickets). I have tried 3 times and got the above message, is it wise to keep trying?

Thanks for any help.

    It could be theres a fault at their end, would just say check your balance, its unlikely that the money has been debited.

    Could it be because its a Maestro card? from memory, the Maestro was similar to electron visa, and that caused a lot of probs, at it couldn't be used without chip and pin;

    One possibility is that your browser is blocking a script which needs to run to process the transaction.

    I occasionally get this sort of problem with my Firefox browser with the "NoScript" add-on installed. With NoScript, you can "Tempoarily Allow" a site to run a script. I don't use IE so can't really advise on that.

    Hope this helps.

    My Nawest Maestro card used to work online everywhere but one site, which was movietickets, which always refused, saying payment couldn't be processed. Never got charged either.

    Could just be possible that your card will not work with that particular website/company.
