Newby - How to get about on this forum

Hi all

I have just started on here a couple of days back and yes have done a few posts but l find it takes me ages to find things.:eek:

Firstly everytime l get into the forum and go to the diarys's l have to search through the pages in the hope of finding the thread if no post has been added to them, as they move down - is there a way of tracking favourite threads.

I have tried subscribing to favourite threads but when l go to the page it always says l have zero threads in my subscribe box.:mad:

I am not very technical but if l tell you what some of the forums l have been on have done in the past - can you tell me if it can be done on here.:o

In other forums l subscribe to - whenl have addded a thread as a favourite, they send me an email with a link to any new posts - can that be done?

Also is there a list of your favourite threads that you can store and just click into when you come on here?

Plus if you are in one section lets say Debt Diarys and you want to go back to the main list of everyones diary - how can you do that quickly without having to use the back button? I end up pushing forum and then having to travel back down and find the diarys again. Takes ages.:(
Finally is there a list of all the abbreviations that are on here as regulars seem to shortcut things and l am lost - took me ages to work out MSE :rotfl: thought the M was for Martin and got completely lost from there :eek:

Sorry if this all sounds like basic stuff and its here already but l spend ages going back and forth. I am no techie thats for sure.

Hope you can help. Now off to write it down where to find this tomorrow or l'll never find this thread again !!!!

As you have already worked out how to subscribe it makes it easier to find threads: At the top is a dark green line and one of the choices is User CP, click on this and you should see them there

I think you can do this as you subscribe and also change it in User CP
