How can you get rid of blue biro ink from a carpet. my dog just chewed up a pen on my new carpet Grrr... !

A few years ago, our then young son, managed to find a permanent marker pen and drew us a picture on our new carpet! We used something called stain devils to get it out.

It did take a bit of elbow grease but worked well. Make sure you get the right one for the pen and follow the instructions, I seem to remember we had to lift the carpet to put Kitchen roll under it to absorb the liquid as it worked through the carpet.

If you've still got some carpet left, put some ink from the pen on it and test that first.

quick update to say that i sprayed with hairspray covered in an old tea towel and ironed it and it lifted it off a treat.
