Hi
Hubby and I are about to purchase our first log burner.
The log burning stove itself has a 5 inch outlet, we now need to buy the chimney liner.
We have been advised by 2 different companies with what to do.
One company said to get a 6 inch liner and the other company said to get a 5 inch liner.
Help please

Ideally go bigger, remember also to allow for access to the flue for sweeping. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Remember that any work done on the chimney needs to be done by a hetias (not sure if its still called that) registered engineer for the installation to be legal.
You can get two grades of stainless steel liner + other lining systems. You can get an adapter for the 5 to 6 inch flue. If you cant get access to sweep the chimney from within the stove, you'll have to have an access hatch as mentioned by muckybutt.
I was quoted around the 800 to 1100 mark for fitting and supply.0
