I have now got Microsoft Office and do not see the point of Works. ShouldI delete it? Will it have any adverse effects on XP?

Just go into control panel, then add/remove programs and uninstall it.
Just deleting the shortcut or whatever won't get rid of the actual program.
and no it wont harm XP0 -
"office is much better than works as it has more up to date programs"
They are completely seperate suites of programs.......0 -
Yes may as well delete it as it can take substantial drive space0

No dont go deleting files
use the uninstall within addand remove programs in control panel.
Works was a great peice of software ages ago the easy integration between the different sections allowed the use of mail merges even to the computer illiterate (my dad could do them:D) and it was a fraction of the cost most PC's come with it as bundled software.
Office is alot better and if you send documents to others it is more likley that the other person will have office not works. There are versions of Works that is made up of a suite of programs and it included a version of Word, autoroute and aload of other stuff.0
