Anyone know Northwood, Pinner, Eastcote and Rayners Lane?

Why are Northwood and Pinner seen as more desirable, despite Eastcote and Rayners Lane being served by both Picadilly and Metropolitan tube lines?

I think its just a snobby thing , Northwood and Pinner have always been sort of the posh areas and Eastcote and Rayners Lane more for the hoypolloy and I have had friends who aspire to move to Pinner/Northwood as if it were the most desirable place in the world.. and I must admit Northwood is much greener than Eastcote and Rayners, depends on your attitude to life I guess if I liked a place it wouldn't bother me if it were seen to be more desirable or not..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Northwood and Pinner are mostly a more pleasant area compared to Eastcote and Rayners plus they have a little bit of the snob factor there too.
Why not splash the cash and buy in Moor Park, they have their own Met Line Station and of course have the Fast service to the City, probably need a couple of extra Million to buy there though:(0 -
I know what you mean about the snob factor tanith - just surprised as I'd have the two tube lines would make the other two more desirable!

I would too but you know what human nature is like , if you think a different postcode is 'better' then you aren't going to take into account things like tube lines , you are going for the snob factor...I'd rather have convenience anyday#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I used to live out that way. Between South Ruislip and Eastcote. Yet I went to school in Northwood Hills. Northwood was always seen as a nicer location. Snob factor is right but also the number of lower quality homes is higher in Eastcote and there is a greater number of higher quality homes in Northwood. Although both have exceptions.
More recent visits back that way have, in my opinion, increased the gap with Eastcote going downhill. Although, perhaps I am now viewing it with the perspective of someone that has got used to living outside of London and is comparing it more to out-of-london living to memory with rose tinted spectaclesI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
