Smile Wine Offer

just a quick question about the offer. I have opened my account and i am about to pay the money in. To qualify does the balance have to be £1500? or can i say pay £510 in, withdraw £500, then pay the £500 back in, withdraw it then put it back in (if you get the idea) so £1500 has been paid in?

  • "Wine qualification upon first credit transaction of £1500 minimum by 18th November 2006" (from the smile website). Just about sums it up for me, particularly "transaction" in the singular and "£1500 minimum."

That's how I read it and as C_Ronaldo, and others, I paid in £1500 in one go.
  • I am tempted by Alliance & Leicester with the 12% regular saver... but customer service is also important...

Would be an annoyance to get £1,500 paid in in one go - but is it all worth it for Smile?
