Really sorry to hear about the leg. Keep smiling.
Am off back to work after 6 weeks holidays today. Boo!!!
Have a great day everyone. x
The good thing is I can't go off wandering round the shops and getting tempted to spend money. Very money saving to have a broken leg.
Forgot to say I had a very lucky night last night. Looked at me e mails and had one from a bingo site reminding me I had £2 in my account. Don't know how long that has been sitting there, well I logged on and left with £21. Think I need to by a ticket for euro lottery tomorrow.Sell £1500

I am sure you are all waiting to hear if it was a winning ticket. Well it was. So I won £6.80 less the £2 ticket cost that means I am £4.80 nearer my total. Sorry it wasn't the £12 million. Would't it have been fun. Still it is better than nothing. I also got £20 in expenses at work and a surprise £200. I don't know if I should add it as I made no effort to get it. I lent it to a friend of my daughters last year. Struggling students with no money. Anyway I thought I would either never hear of it again or maybe get it sometime next year after graduation. Well after working for the summer he arrived at my door today and gave me the cash. I am definitely doing well at the moment, I hope my lucky run goes on for a bit longer. Now the question is do I buy a lottery ticket for tomorrow? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmSell £1500

Congratulations Mumps, that's all excellent news. You're really are doing well, you must be thrilled.
Not feeling quite so happy at the moment as my hours have been cut at work which means even less money coming in. I haven't done the maths properly yet, but think it will mean about a £300 a month pay cut which is going to be extremely difficult. Had a bit of a blub last night just to get it out of my system, but need to have a good think about what to do about the shortfall. Am single mum with 2DDs and took a teaching job so that I could spend all of the holidays with them. As I teach there is no overtime, so need to think about what I can do to make up the money. I make pretty good kids cakes which I have sold a couple, so may have to branch into that part time to make ends meet. Sorry to vent on here, just really want to make the total for xmas for my two little sweethearts.
Anyway, must be positive, hope you all have a brillliant day. Going to take DD2 to swimming lessons now. Have a great day everyone. x0 -
You are all doing so well, especially mumps  I would count the £200 as you didn't expect to get that money
I have done two surveys for £3 each, that has hit my paypal account, plus something I sold on Ebay and two books on Green Metropolis, total £8.82 profit so total saved so far £95.78.LBM 31/01/2009: £19,422

Miss empty piggy,
Sorry to hear about your hours, I know what schools are like always dread when the staffing/school roll exercise is done wihtin our LA at end of August! Is the time that has been cut suitable to register for supply work? I know it's not guaranteed but might help with a bit of extra cash.
Also, I know you're a single mum and it might be dificult regards childcare but could you do private tutoring or make your LEA know that you're avaliable/interested in tutoring any pupils who are long term sick/excluded or children in hospital.LBM 03/07 £44k:eek: DFD 31/12/17 :A 12/17 £2545.50

Thanks Hope 78 I'd not thought of either of those options. I shall get on with that ASAP. Thanks for the advice. From the sounds of your success I think that I'll definitely give the home tutoring thing a bash. Well done on the total by the way, you're doing so well.
Went to Makro today to buy all the stuff I needed to sell cakes, managed to get everything except something to put them into (i.e bags or boxes), couldn't believe it. I'll have to order online. Just felt like I had to do something constructive. I know I'm worrying now, but I am sure that all will turn out well.
Kind regards.0
