deposit if credit check failed
Hi I am currently with eon for my eleccy on a pre payment metre, I emailed british gas about transferring to them and paying monthly with a credit metre explained that I would fail the credit check, they emailed back saying if this was the case I could still have the metre fitted but would have to pay a deposit.Obviously I would be interested in doing this does anyone have any idea what kind of money we would be talking about for a deposit .

i dont see how they could refuse if they are sitting on a chunk of your money?i think they take the deposit until they see what you use a month etc and fix a payment plan up.i was told £70 a month for both.i had been using £30+ on prepayment a week, told them it should have been more,it then went up to £105 after 6 months which is ok as i have a bit in credit in summer to balance winter out.Shine on you crazy diamond..............0

I have been putting £20 in each metre each week just to build up a credit for over winter as both myself and my son have a illness which reacts badly with the cold
,so I would be perfectly happy to pay a dd of £160 a month for both as it would be exactly the same as what I pay now but not the danger of running out of credit iykwim:) Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
or move supplier a few months after and they would have no choice but to refund0
