Text to Speech on iPod Touch

I want to listen to PDFs.

Ive done the first part now, ie synching PDFs thru iTunes to iBooks on the Touch, now how do I get it to read them to me? Any thoughts?

Sorry, I don't know (I don't own an iAnything), but if you put the title of your post into Google, you get loads of hits, including youTube how-to videos!

Thanks. Those are more of the "type in a sentence and youll hear it" rather than "heres a 50 page PDF please read it out for me"

Ok - you asked for thoughts.

IMO the iPod Touch probably doesn't have enough computing grunt to convert PDF to speech in real time. What you need to do (IMO, no research or facts were involved in reaching this conclusion) is to convert the PDF to speech on a PC/Mac and then transfer the resulting sound file to the iPod for playback.

Now someone will come along and prove that I'm wrong, and that's fine by me.

mmmmm - I thought thats where I would end up. No point putting the PDFs into itunes/ibooks really is there?
