hi sarah we went there a few years ago it is a good base the park is basic there not to much entertainment on in october but its ideal for the blackpool atractions before you go do a search for the nearest big supermarket the camp shop is expensive.

We went in may this year. The site was very clean and well presented. The entertainment was the usual for these places...great for kids...and theres a fab freeport 5 mins away and a huge 24hour asda. It took us about 10/15 mins to get into blackpool and Yes we would definately use it again. Infact my family are going there next week.xx:T:T0

If you drive down the main road you travel on before you get to cala gran and just carry on there is an asda just up the road, probably best unpacking at the caravan and then getting in the car and heading towards fleetwood and you cant really miss it. Its on the left just after Freeport. There's also a McDs there if its easy for the little one's. Freeport has an excellent outdoor play area for free which the kids will love but of course would depend on the weather in October. Blackpool is a fair drive 15 minutes or so but if its easier there is a bus that is frequent and passes cala gran throughout the day and night and go's straight to the centre. Its the number 14. Its a big double decker.
At the moment there's an offer on. £3 Adult and £1.90 Child for an all day bus pass. This would mean you could jump on the number 1 bus which also go's all around fleetwood and blackpool but travels along the promenade towards the airport which is a nice scenic drive.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
£11,860.00 needed = £1,106 in savings

Hi I kno u posted a while ago, but I was just lookin for some discount vouchers for the Tower, can't find anything :-(. We are staying at Cala Gran this week (25th to 29th) too!! I've been here plenty of times before and I have to say we love it, its only a smallish camp so not too busy but it has everything you need. We usually walk up the road to the tram stop for the tram into Blackpool. Also there is farmer Parrs farmpark over the road (I've got to say I've never noticed this before) but now I've got a young child it will be perfect! they are doing a halloween themed week and its £15 for 2 adults and 2 kids which seems reasonable.
Have a good time anyway!!

There are currently offers on the back of Blackpool bus tickets which are for the Tower, sea life centre and Tussauds. Tower and zoo tickets are usually cheaper if bought on line. The £3 one day bus tickets are only available from local newsagents (see Blackpool transport website). They are £3.95 if bought on the bus.0

Hi
Just to say there is a Vue cinema in Cleveleys (which is between Fleetwood & Blackpool). They've got Toy Story 3 as the Kids AM so 95p per ticket. Blackpool also has the Sandcastle Waterworld so pack your swimming costume !
