I am a big fan of TErry Pratchett but managed to be unaware of this website, never occurred to me to even look for it.

Another part of giving out competitions on this site is that they introduce people to websites that they would not have known about otherwise. I am now signing up to the newsletter.

I didn't know of the website/Newsletter before now, my sister is a massive Terry Pratchett fan, so I will most definately be forwarding the link to her so she can recieve the Newsletter, Midnighter, I think you've done a grand job in raising their members thank you for posting

My OH is a massive fan and has several signed books of TP, and loads of figures, mugs coins stamps etc I have entered this comp, and will visit this site.
Thanks to the post and poster of this comp. this would be a great addition to my OH's collection

Apologies. I wan't aware you weren't happy to have the answers posted hereabouts. The Discworld Monthly comps and answers were, until recently, posted by another forum member. I just happenend to notice that the comp from the latest issue hadn't been posted. Once again apologies.

Please don't apologize. It's all sorted out now. I don't mind having the competition listed (as said before it works to my benefit) but I would like to know it has been done, please just drop me a message to let me know - contact details appear in every issue and on every webpage. I do however object to having the answers listed. In this case it made no difference as there was no website to find to get the answer from so nobody lost out but often we do have competitions that require people to visit the venders site and to look around. In those cases the vender would feel cheated and may decide not to offer prizes again.

Discworld Monthly is run by me a fan of Terry Pratchett for other fans of Terry Pratchett on a not for profit basis. I don't get paid to put it together each month (although that would be nice), I'm not employed by Terry or any of the publishers its just fan activity. I got a little upset over the weekend when I found that the answers were being published. This has now been resolved and shouldn't happen again. I'm really grateful for the new people that signed up to the newsletter having seen this, even after my rants and hope you continue to enjoy the newsletter and website and hope we can bring you new competitions each month - although things have been a little quite on the competition front recently. I guess that's the global economy for you.
