Dodgy eSure Breakdown Cover

Just thought I'd add a post to warn people about something eSure seem to have started doing recently.
I called them yesterday to make a change to my car insurance policy (change the vehicle). As I pay annually the advisor told me how much extra they'd need to take from me to make the change effective (£18.07).
However, they very quickly mentioned that this amount included breakdown cover and hurriedly mentioned a few choice benefits before moving on to informing me when I could expect my paperwork. I had to stop her and ask again what she said about breakdown cover - "I'm sure you just said that the £18.07 includes breakdown cover?" "Yes, that's right" she said, and repeated the benefits again.
When I told her I already had full RAC membership she removed the breakdown cover from my policy and told me that I now owed nothing extra to make my original change - the £18.07 was entirely made up of the defaulted breakdown cover!
Just thought I'd warn you of this dodgy practice if anyone deals with eSure (or Sainsbury's car insurance). From an FSA 'Treating Customer's Fairly' point of view they don't seem very keen to establish your demands and needs before assumptively selling you cover.

Well spotted North Country Boy, the More Than CS person was obviously on some kind of bonus and assumed she could baffle you with BS.
Imagine how many other people this CS person has done this to, do them all a favour and make a formal complaint to More Than and CC it to the FSA.0 -
