  • Pretty sure he's not there anymore as he manages Ipswich now and that would be quite a distance to travel every week. Don't worry, your MSing patch is safe! :D

He carried on living in Hale when he was Sunderland manager - ended up being one of the reasons he left the club.

    Hi Proshopper,

There should be someone there at GR tomorrow. Give them a call. I've had calls from them on a Saturday before asking if I can do an urgent assignment that day.

Thanks for that pennies. I'm going to try, but I'm not sure I'll get anyone - I understood that they don't man the phones at all on Saturdays now that they have cut back their hours.

    Hi

Does anyone know how to de-activate a Gap account?

I still haven't been paid for a job I did in early May. I have cancelled a job I had booked for Sunday and want to de-activae my account before they sack me for cancelling it.

    Thanks for any advice

They are unlikely to sack you, people cancel all the time.

    Chase the payment.

Don't deactivate your account, you won't be able to sign up again, and the way things change in the MS world you don't want to find yourself wanting to work for gap again.

Thanks for your reply. I have chased them a couple of times, once when they phoned me to ask me to do an urgent job and once by email and I still haven't been paid.

I will leave the account active and see what happens.

    Thanks again:D

Can anyone tell me what, if anything, I should do if I received the paperwork for a GFK postal survey after the failed delivery date? Got one today which "failed" on Monday

Thank you so much Brryssn I am overwhelmed at the warm welcome from you all. I know Glasgow is so huge since I came back home. I am in Bearsden actually. Tales ah yes but about everyone else. I am quite quiet and tend to be more of a people watcher. Just as well as there were some really crazy people around. And a coffee sounds lovely.
    Look forward to it.

    Welcome Gabs!

Nice to see someone else from Glasgow too! Where are you?

We did indeed get together for a coffee, so I'm sure you'll be a very welcome addition to our "clan"....................and I want to know more about your modelling exploits - I'm sure you'll have a few tales to tell!

I did some many years ago - nothing on your scale though - so I'm always interested in anything about it. :D

One of the MS companies were looking for people with language skills a while ago - it was telephone work. I enquired for my daughter, who speaks several languages, but she was too young at 18.

I'll PM you the details anyway, in case it's of any interest to you. :)
