Add together the reimbursement and the petrol money for doing the coffee shop on TNS, and divide by 2. It was a tiny fraction more than that. Not really worth it for a 3 minute video clip and to then upload it or whatever.

So, not much more than a phone call? i wouldn't have bothered for that neither
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

You're not a proof reader for RE are you...? ;)

If nearlyheadless was a proofreader for RE, there would have been something like: You wrote "Cream." A comment is required.
MS work very slow for me at the moment. Only got one job booked for Saturday and one fast supermarket for Sunday. Have had no offers of assignments from GR for what seems like ages and who I can normally rely on for jobs. I'm sure this time last year wasn't as quiet. Could do with the extra money as well.

MSing is picking up a little now, I had a restaurant on Sunday then I have 2 burgers, breakfast, an audit plus a cinema check to go this week. Hmmmm this really isn't good for the diet!

I started this week thinking things were bleak as I only had seven jobs scheduled for this week and next. After a slow day yesterday, I am now fully booked up to next Wednesday - and I have only taken one RE job and no burgers! Plus, the work has starting rolling in for August: I have over 20 jobs booked already. A good sign, I think.:)

They have got to be kidding!!! I wonder how much TNS are charging the client/s for these "value added" video reports. I bet it is considerably more than peanuts.:D

I'm impressed! I wish I had so much work on, still quite quiet here. 7 jobs until the end of the month and only one booked in for August so far, and that is a tel call....I'm obviously not with the right companies lol.

Ah, but at present, MSing and auditing are my main sources of income (my other job is very quiet over most of the summer).

I don't work for absolutely every company: there are probably eight who provide most of my work, but I pick up odd bits from others. A lot of my work is manually allocated, rather than self allocations. I use the self allocations from all the usual companies (but not so much RE) as filler jobs.

I also keep my eye open for self-allocation jobs that aren't shifting, then phone the company with an offer they (generally) can't refuse. I try not to turn down work when it is offered; even if the pay, travel, or even the job itself isn't great, I willingly accept bribes from most companies! This gets me some work for up to three months ahead (I have three jobs for October, already). The "pro" in my screen name refers to my soliciting activities in this area!!:rotfl:
