thanks so much0 -
Could be worse. We were sitting round the splash pool in Turkey and a little boy shouted "Dad, I've done a poo" and there was a log floating round in the pool. It had to be closed while they got rid of it and rechlorinated the water - yuk!
Thanks for the chuckle everyone.
Becles - my nephew has just been that kid. So much for swimming nappies eh?
The other thing I'm amazed with is the price of everything! It's really expensive. It's £1.30 for a can of coke. I swear this was meant to be cheap.0 -

If the link on the first page doesn't work it's something to do with bandwidth for the month.

I noticed when Charlotte was in swim nappies, we had to whip her out quick as soon as she did one, as they don't hold it in well.
Imported drinks like Coca-Cola and international branded spirits are very expensive in Turkey. They have stupidly high taxes to import stuff like that.
It's cheaper if you drink fresh juices and local branded drinks. Cola Turka is nice if you can find it. Istanblu vodka is gorgeous.clippy_girl wrote: »
on that note is anyone doing the train ticket site? if so have you actually managed to make a purchase? i cannot do it! grrrr
I'm not doing train tickets, but I've done others and I really hate these jobs! I'm doing them on hubby's iPhone but hardly any sites are optimised for phones and it takes forever trying to do them as I have to keep increasing the size to read the text and imput things, and they keep crashing. Nightmare!
Two bad jobs today so I'm a bit cheesed off now!
First was a stand in a shopping centre the morning. To cut a long story short, I was ignored by the staff at first as one was having a personal conversation with someone, and two were giggling at something on a mobile. Eventually got served by an abrupt man. His figures came out higher than my current supplier so he rang someone to get up to date prices. Don't know who he rang but he got very rude and aggressive with them on the phone. While he was busy, another staff member came as she realised she'd not put her bag away and said the F word twice. My son was present and heard. Then the man said he couldn't beat my prices and started slagging off whoever he had been talking to, so I just asked for the leaflet and left!
Secondly, did a TNS restaurant on Sunday 1st. It had to be done between 7pm-9pm. Got there and it was shut. Checked when we got home and it closes at 5pm on Sundays but is open till 9pm midweek. Told TNS who told me to go back and do it midweek. Went back this evening and the lad said they were closing. He said they close at 7pm now as they don't get much evening business since the cinema next door closed. Two wasted trips now and twice we've had to buy food elsewhere. Went to another restaurant last time, but couldn't afford to do that again so we came home via a supermarket and bought microwave jalfrezi instead!
Was planning on going to that supermarket tomorrow to do a quick job, and did that this evening instead, so I've saved a bit of time in the morning. Here I go again on my own....0
