I was 40p under. I suppose it's quite a bit. Picked up two bars of choc that should have been more but it was a two for one offer. Wasn't paying attention at the till, too busy looking for pos material and trying to read the namebadge. Was only when I had put in my pin that i realised the total wasn't what I had been expecting.

Sloppy. My mistake but if they arent going to pay me because the report's invalid then they shouldnt be using the report.

But how on earth can that affect the report and invalidate it? The value of the items was over the amount, it was just a bonus they were on offer- it would have looked more suspect if you'd gone "hang on, cancel that transaction I need to spend another 40p" (I know you wouldn't have done that, but it's just plain stupid as it was down to an offer, not the actual value of the items etc)
Hoping to get money smart enough to avoid working full time and paying extortionate money to a stranger for the privilege of enjoying my two beautiful children for 40+hrs a week until my son is 3 and my daughter starts school in 2012 :D

Yes. You've nothing to lose. It's probably one that was made available last week ("hardware" store per chance?) and someone booked it, but has now released it.

Yep- have to be alone on all the chicken jobs (and the burger ones.)

Not true. Alone on burgers but not on chicken. I take my kids to chicken and have had verbal confirmation from them that its ok to do so.

Thanks for the support over the gyp fuel job. I was quite angry at first but have calmed down a bit. Just reminds me to be more wary about this company. We all know they're chancers. Fortunately it only cost me the price of the choc. I would buy fuel anyway. I may have gone a couple of miles more to go home via this garage but not enough to make a difference. I'm also only assuming they've still used my report. Someone could have grabbed it quick but didnt see a revisit job and it's one of these places that jobs can hang around a few days.

On a better note Gyp have replied to my closed garage visit to say I will get a fee (just over half) for that visit once they've confirmed it was shut. Think it was Tudorc that had the same problem? I expect you should get the same answer.

I did deliberate over putting it (considering I did once go with somebody without problem), but the orientation does say: "You must complete "chicken" assignments alone.." right at the start, and you know what they're like for finding any excuse...

There should've been an email address when you clicked into the job. Failing that, take a look at the email you've been sent hat has the briefing notes attached - it should've been cc'd to the person managing the wave.

Let me know if you're still stuck, but I'd need to know which client it is so maybe PM me?
