B&Q Faulty Shower

Hi,

My Hubby brought a shower from B&Q for a customer (he is a plumber) He fitted the shower and it didn't work (he wasn't happy!) Anyway he un-installed it and got another one from a different shop. He took the broken shower back to B&Q and the Lady that served him told him he should take this issue up with the manufacturer of the shower. - He kicked up a fuss and told this lady that he wasn't going to leave his customer with a shower waiting for the manufacture to come out. After waiting for while for the manager to come to see him the lady asked another member of staff and he said that she should refund him.

He did get his money back - I'm pleased to say.

My question is I want to right and complain about the service (or lack of it ) he received. And was it his right to get his money back and not to have to wait for the manufacturers?

Thanks
Nutty Bird

They are within there right to ask for the item to be tested before giving a refund such as getting the manufacturer to exam it Soga only states that burden proof lies with them. But your contract is with B&Q and not the manufacture and its up to them to do the leg work. They tell people to keep them fitted to prevent people trying to claim expenses for unfitting.
