A&L Referral Question

Currently have Premier Direct A/C and the wife is to take out a Premier Current A/C to make use of the 12% regular saver. Obviously going to use the refer a relative scheme so we both get £50, but just one question about the eligibility wording - "New customers must open a Premier or Premier Direct Account and must not have an existing account with A&L". I assume this is just badly worded and means much not have a existing current account with A&L, and not just any old savings account. The reason I ask is that we both have ISAs with them. Sure someone on this board has confirmed it does refer to current accounts only before but any further confirmation would be appreciated

We both had OS2 accounts when we opened our Premier Direct accounts earlier this year, and we were able to benefit from the refer-a-friend offer.0 -
There are better ISAs out their than A&L, I would suggest looking at the article on best savings accounts. I used refer-a-friend to refer someone with an ISA and it worked. If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.

Apologies then, anyone taking up the account now gets 4.75%, when they are offering the same rate (on any amount) as the minimum rate at Natwest, their is probably a better deal out there, I get 5.05% from Natwest but that is only for people with a lot in their ISA, one of the few Natwest services I genuinely reccomend to anyone (the credit card is OK for stoozing too but the credit card department is useless, be prepared for incompetent idiots when contacting them)If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.
