How to shrink a jumper/top!!

I have got a jumpery type top thing (:rolleyes:
) that is a bit too big, it is like a tank top but comes down to just above my knees and is woolly acrylic type stuff. How do I make it smaller?????

Clearly, because you actually WANT the item to shrink, there is no earthly way it will do it (unless it excels itself and shrinks to Barbie doll size).
Now, if it was a touch too small ... that would be a different story entirely.
