  • I work at CAB and would agree that AgeUK is better able to help you on this topic. CAB is good on benefits eg DLA, AA, HB, CTB, JSA ESA etc.
    The care and counsel website is excellent.
  • As part of the discharge they have to consider him against the continuing healthcare framework, if he's got a social worker you need to be asking if they have carried there own assessment out and if so have they come to the conclusion that his needs are more "social" than "health" related if they claim they are social then it's social services that are footing the bill so talk to them if not it may land with the NHS.
