SSL Certificates?

We are just creating an online shop with Oscommerce. Payments will, be taken via Paypal and Nochex which are secure. I believe we need to purchase a SSL certificate to ensure the site is secure from when the customer registers. The site is hosted with Freeola.
I was wondering if anyone had an advise as to where to get a good certificate for a good price?
Thanks,

Before you do that, check that Freeola will host the certificate for you. There's no point if they won't unless you move hosting companies.

Verisign and Equifax are two of the trusted root certificate authorities so if you want maximum compatibility, use them or a CA which uses them.

You can get cheap trusted SSL certificates from Comodo at https://www.instantssl.com from about £54 a year.
