Indeed, has anybody actually purchased a DFS Suite at their non-sale price/s?

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF RIP OFF BRITAIN. If you think any of the major retailers actualy sell at cheapest prices think again. Why do builders avoid these places except for loss leader products. Do not be fooled by 80% of these 'deals'.

Over 60's get 10% off every Wednesday. My Dad is often on standby for a quick trip to B&Q to pick up my shopping.

    Update:

I emailed B&Q last Friday, from my works email address which is a government department and made reference to the specific product that I had purchased before, hence knew the price was a joke.

Interestingly the price of that changed this morning. As far as I can see the rest of the reductions are the same, but this one has now come down considerably. Could be un-related but it seems odd this has changed and other items have not.

It’s now priced at a third off, yet the figure quoted doesn’t tally with that as it works out better than a 3rd of the joke price and better than 20% of the REAL price….

I’m off later to go and load up. Lets hope the store knows the new price!

Result, slabs purchased for £2.86 each.

Coincidence or not, sometimes its worth making a small fuss... :)
  • I know it used to be the case that an item had to have been on sale at the full price for 28 days in at least one store before it could be "discounted", but I believe the rules changed a couple of years ago. Now I think the item just has to have been on sale at full price for a "reasonable period", which of course can be interpreted in many ways (and, I imagine, frequently is).
