Potato help for newbie grower

Hi all

This year I planted potatoes in 3 tyres tall and a large pot. We have pulled the pot ones and had a lovely meal with them. Going to start on the tyres soon.

Some questions I have are -
Some of the plants are growing 'fruits', hard green round things. What are they?

Also what do you do to get seeding potatoes from these plants to plant again?

Hi Freddie,

I read about those the other day, the green 'fruits' are poisonous but they are supposedly true potato seeds (think you break them open to get them out) If you plant them then you get seed potatoes to use the following year?

I was thinking of trying it myself, your potatoes are waaaay ahead of mine, mine have only just gotten flowers on them!

Does anyone know how to add photos to your posts?

Apparently the seeds could come out as anything! They wont be true to type. I have been debating planting a few to see what happens, might end up with a new variety of potato
