Euro Car Parks - Parking Charge Notice

I have today been given a PCN by Euro Car parks on the basis that I had exceeded the total amount of time. I attended a business meeting at Costa Coffee in Gloucester from 10 until 12 and then returned home. At 2:30 I went back to B&Q (on the opposite side of the retail park) for 30 minutes and have received a ticket as I had returned within 3 hours! I am disgusted that as a legitimate customer of both stores that I have been given this ticket. Reading the other threads it seems I can ignore this. Is this correct?

Ignore them and do not contact them in any way. If you want to do something you can send a letter to the HO of any of the businesses at the park stating your disgust at the way genuine customers are treated and you will now think twice about shopping on that park. May not do any good but you never know.

    Snap (sort of!). :D

It was in a different place but I also got a ECP ticket for overstaying my welcome somewhere in a Supermarket (where I did actually shop).

Only thing is, it was a year ago and I laughed as I already knew it was a scam. Just three rubbishy debt collector letters later (steadfastly ignored of course) that was it. Nothing happens.

Now I come on here most days, telling people never to pay a PPC fake ticket. I think their whole industry and the lies they tell in their threatening letters is like one big protection racket. They say to the stores, we'll keep unwanted parkers off your manor and it won't cost you anything, so the stores jump at the idea thinking it will absolve them of responsibility under the DDA re disabled access.

Spread the word, read other threads. The letters are nothing! :D

Like coupon I come here to spread the word about these scammers, these shops say its nothing to do with them but with the landlords etc, its pure rubbish they have a lot more say in how things are run in these car parks and very often its their own employees doing the ticketing, so just ignore them and tell all your family and friends about this, don't let them be ripped off! Sainsbury has lost my business because of this.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

You dont owe euro a penny as it aint their land, you were a legit customer who spent money in the shops on that particular site so they havent lost out.

Ignore them and spread the word of this scam.

Never understood the logic of the "no return rule". You go away and granny asks you to get something there when you get home. Do you wait for the 3hours to end, go and risk the wrath of Euro or go elsewhere? I know which is more likely to happen so the shops lose out. Madness.

Euro Car Parks, a ticket headed 'Parking Charge Notice' = scam.

Ignore it and the debt collector letters. As PTP says read the advice above.

Click the 'all letters' link below to see what rubbish these chancers will send to the registered keeper:

    All Letters

As above, from the top of this whole thread, ignore everything like I did and thousands of others have done. Never pay a private parking ticket, spread the word, nothing happens, not to your credit rating, not to your possessions, no bailiff will call, you won't get taken to Court, no-one will come and arrest you, it's not an offence and not a real fine...yadda yadda...

It's just like deleting a set of phishing emails, a pathetic extortion attempt if you know about it.

    :)

I have been issued a parking ticket by euro car parks. I arrived at morrisons without any change and a 2 yr old daughter desperate for the loo. I explained to a member of morrisons staff that I had no change for the pay and display machine and I was told that as long as I spent over £1 in the store parking was free, with that I took my daughter to the loo, and spent £7 in morrisons cafe. I returned to the car within half an hour to find a ticket with £50 charge increasing to £70 if the fine was not paid within 2 weeks. I went back in store and complained to the manager, he said he would contact euro car parks in an attempt to have the charge withdrawn. He took my ticket and receipt and said he would call me with any news but has not contacted me since. What should I do next?
