Technothicky requires telly help please

My old analogue has finally bit the dust beyond economic repair so I thought I'd comfort spend on one of these new fangled lcd hd things.
I thought that I'd finally cracked it when I found this http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/lg/m227wd/lg-m227wd
Looking down the spec however, Does it receive Freeview HD TV stations? there's a big red cross. Ditto with the Does it receive freesat HD TV stations? I was under the impression that some of these were now being broadcast. Am I mistaken ? If they are, what's the point of it, just to watch this here blueray thingy ?
Many thanks.

    See here..

It means essentially that it is a monitor.

you need to feed it with a signal which it can process. You would need to use an external digibox of some kind be it freeview/sky/sat/ etc.

You can plug other stuff into it also such as DVD/PC etc
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Built-in TV tuners are only just starting to catch up with the HD developments.

But I wouldn't worry about it. On a 22" TV you won't be able to see a significant difference between SD and HD. And if you want to go that route it will probably be cheaper to wait and get an external STB when HD-compatible ones become commonly available.

HD TV is pretty pointless below a screen size of around 32".
At normal viewing distances with anything smaller you would not be able to see a difference between an HD and a SD picture.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
