Beat any quote and refund double the difference

I'm looking to hire a car for a trip to visit family in France soon and booked flights with easyjet. They offered me a car hire service: the easyJet price for car rental at all easyJet destinations will always be lower than booking directly through Europcar... we will also refund DOUBLE THE DIFFERENCE in price if you find the same rental at a lower price from any International Car Rental Company* within 48 hours of booking with Europcar!
Here's a link to the small print T&C's etc: (unable to provide link due to forum rules)

I Have found a rental company: arguscarhiredotcom (sorry unable to post link) that offer me a cheaper deal on a compact car eg VW Golf or similar for £11 cheaper. I know this isn't a great amount of money I am saving but it is the difference between hiring a Peugeot 107 or similar or a much bigger VW Golf for the same price is much more appealing. And easyjet have all my flight details travel arrangements already therefore making transaction easier.

What I'm asking is does the Argus quote stand up to the easyjet quote and will it stand up against the easyjet T&C's and get me a VW Golf for the price of a Peugeot 107 after a the difference is refunded?
I know it’s not an everyday question but I am no good with the loopholes involved with T&C's and any help would be greatly appreciated
PS sorry about no links

    I wouldn't book a car through a broker.
No one at the airport if there's no car, so what do you do.
I either book direct, or as you say, as least easyjet are on hand for you.

Even the phone number for Argus is an 0844.

Try easyjet for the refund, it's what they say that counts.
  • I wasn't going to book through a broker (I didn't realise they were a broker) I was comparing prices and thought with the easyjet price promise I could get a decent car for the same price after easyjet refunded me double the difference. I just don't want to pay for something then try to claim the difference and easyjet turn round with some loophole, for example: Argus (or any other quoting company) do not meet the criteria of our T&C's of the best price refund, for whatever reason.
I got a feeling that the reason they will knock it back for, is as you said they are a broker and not an actual car hire company.
