Click on the Value Your car link.
Thanks.
Tried that already but it only gives you the part ex valuations. Looking for purchase prices as well...Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -
An eleven year old car is worth what it is worth, based on condition, no guide is going to give a realistic valuation.0

+1
From £0 - £1,000
Edit:- I have just noted that Glass's have the trade in value higher than that but if I was buying I wouldn't be paying anymore than £1k for that.0 -
Sorry to bring back an older thread but I was just wondering if anyone with a Glass's guide could give me an idea of value for my car that I'm going to sell.
It's a Ford Focus 1.6 LX 5 door, 2004 (04) plate. It has metallic paint and electric sunroof options. Mileage is 36,000 miles. It has a years MOT and full service history.
Also, does recent work and replacement of parts i.e new tyres etc add to value at all? ThanksMother, wife, scientist, analyst.

Best way to value your car is to look on AutoTrader and find similar cars, subtract a bit from the list prices and that will give you a good idea of it's value.
Alternatively have a look on Parkers Website, not as accurate as Glass's Guide but it will give you a rough idea.
At the end of the day, it is worth what you can get for it.0 -
Also, Glass's give trade book prices, not what you should be looking for when selling privately. I agree, look on autotrader and the like, after all you will be competing aganst prices on these sites.0

If this is the right car....
Ford Focus Hatchback 1.6i 16v LX F/Lift 5dr 2004 (04) 36,000 miles
Dealer £4,295
Private £3,905
Part exchange £3,845
Trade £3,605
Cost new £12,5150 -
Thank you, that's the one. Is that from Glass's?
Would the price be affected at all by things like FSH, a year's MOT, remaining tax, new tyres etc? Thanks againMother, wife, scientist, analyst.
