    Just an update, its still not healed, have taken legal advice and am now waiting to see how long it takes to heal. Have booked doctors appointment.
    Meanwhile I have let the insurance company know and they have told me to update them when I know whats going on so that they can consider revising the offer given
  • My brother was recently in a car accident, and through no fault of his own he came away with a broken wrist. Luckily, his wife who studied law warned him not to accept any compensation from the insurance company, but instead use a solicitor.

    You should check out MASS mass.org.uk who are campaigning against insurance companies for doing this, as they explain that they act as the judge, jury and paymaster. Apparently insurers don't give the victims 100% compensation, like many of the no win no fee solicitors offer now.

    Then again it might be an idea to negotiate with them, as it could be a quicker process. My brother is still waiting to receive his compensation, but is expecting to receive loss of earnings as he was off work for 3 months. I think the company he used was firstpersonalinjury.co.uk but I don't know whether he would recommend them or not. I just know that his wife believes he will get a bigger payout through a specialised firm, rather than through insurers.
