The info, including the date the new rate comes into effect, is on the Moneyfacts website. If you do a Product Search, select Savings and then Regular Savers, the Bath BS account appears on page 2 of the search results. Click on Details and you will see that '11/9/2006' is specified in the 'With Effect From:' field.

Just to note that this a/c is is not the same as thier closed issue Bonus Builder regular Savings a/c which only pays around 5.15%.

I might close my Bonus Builder and open this 6% regular saver.
  • I also have one of these bonus builder a/c.s but isn't this a 36 month affair and if you don't complete, you dip out on the bonus rate ? I've only got about 8 months left on it anyway so I'll keep it going to the death.
I've just emailed them to confirm if I am eligble to open a new one 'cos they specified that only one bonus builder could be opened/customer.As this is a new account not a revamp of an old one, I presume that there shouldn't be a problem ?

Just dug up the terms and conditions for Bonus Builder 2, yes you're right, it's has a three year term.

Luckily, mine matures on the 30th of October 2006 and you're allowed one penalty free withdrawal per year. I might transfer £100 over to the new account.

Remember, with the new account, you are allowed to increase your monthly contribution but you can't decrease it.
