Hi, There is a really good chips shop opposite the amusements, think its next to the flamingo pub.....also, if you go a bit further into Brean, there is a lovely place called the cove, yummy ice creams etc there too....when you get there, theres a great place to walk around and,ask about the local pub to there that does a gorgeous reasonable priced carvery--very nice!

If you are driving, Burnham on Sea isnt too far from there and, they have a few different places to eat too. Have a great time!:D

Hi...sorry to butt in. I was thinking of going to Unity Farm site in August with my 11 year old son. What are busses like for travelling to Weston and Burnham? Any recommendations on palces to/things to do? Any views on Unity?

I`m not too sure to be honest......from what I remember, Unity was sort of in-between Burnham and Brean.....not positive about this tho. If I was alone with an 11y/o without a car, I may be tempted to go for one of the bigger sites like Brean or Burnham as both are manageable without transport and regardless of weather....also, at Burnham,on the sea front, theres a choice of buses outside the Somerfield to take you into Brean orin the other direction, into Bridgwater/Taunton.

Hope this helps abit. Wherever you decide to go, have a lovely time. P.S On the Grabbit site here, there is the list of code words to book a cheap sun holiday. pm me if you can`t find them and i`ll type them up for you.

Thanks for the advice. I thought Unity was a large site lol. So Burnham is bigger and better?? Still not sure if i'm going yet as not too sure how 11 year old (or me for that matter) will cope without the laptop on the evenings. Need somewhere that will keep us both occupied. Brean is easier for us to get to by train than most other areas i looked at. As for the sun holidays....i wish i could. But i can only go this certain week in August as thats when i am off work. Thanks again :-)

Dawlish is also right by the train station.....not sure where you`re travelling from. Definitely more shops in burnham than in brean(possible chance of wifi?!) but, Brean does have a great market and car boot Sundays and Mondays if I remember rightly.... :D
