Parking Ticket whilst displaying disabled badge

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Had my mum at the bank this morning at 9am. Parking in a parking bay, no lines at all, however, displayed her disabled badge anyway.

When I came back the car at 8 minutes past 9, I had a penalty charge notice on my windscreen stating "the vehicle was waiting, loading or unloading when prohibited".

Anyone help here ? I was definately in a parking bay, where do I go from here ?

    If the ticket was from a private company, not on behalf of the Council, then ignore it. And ignore the debt collector letters that follow as it's a scam.

    If it's a real PCN fom the Council, you can appeal and have every chance of getting off the ticket altogether IMHO. There's usually an 'out' but it may not lie in the simple appeal you would think to make.

    Post a new thread about it on pepipoo.com forums here:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

    Look at the sticky FAQs first, and see how to post pictures from their instructions. Read a few other threads about Council PCNS to see what to post in your thread and what sort of expertise is offered!

    Then register and start a new thread, showing the front AND the back of the PCN (show all the boring small-print and dates, but blank out personal car ID and PCN number).

    Also can you go back and take a pic of the lines & signs at that bay?

    There may be enough here for pepipoo to help you win your appeal at the second hurdle, if it's not allowed at the first. Councils usually turn down informal appeals but if pepipoo say you have a good case then don't let that put you off.

    Good luck, also post the PCN front & back here if you want, although we have less experts on this forum.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
