  • I stir fry the pork, then add onions, mushrooms, peppers and soy sauce - sometimes I add cream at the very end of cooking.

    Lee,

As you have solved your problem, I have merged your thread with a recent one on the same subject as it helps to keep all the suggestions together.

Everytime i open my freezer the pork pieces are staring at me. I have made a pork casserole in the past with them. I like hot/spicy food and wondered if theres anything i can do with them. Do pork pieces have to defrosted before cooking too.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

what about jerk pork, nice and spicy

    Jerk marinade

2 chile peppers, diced and de seeded
    1 onion, finely chopped
1/2-inch piece ginger root, peeled, chopped
2 to 3 tbs chile paste
    2tbs oil oil
    1/2 tsp allspice
    1/2 tsp dried oregano
    2tbs water

Place the peppers, onions, and ginger in food processor and pulse until smooth. Add the chile paste and oil and blend. Then add the allspice, oregano, and water. Marinate pork pieces overnight then roast in hot oven.
or buy a jar of ready made jerk seasoning
  • This is one of the most delicious recipes for using up cheaper cuts of pork:

I'd be tempted to whizz some of the pork pieces with some breadcrumbs, egg and chilli powder and make some burgers with it
