Recently downloaded FF 4.0 beta, and left 3.6 beta on the shortcuts, howeve if i now open either, i get the FF "welcome to FF Beta 4.0 "start page, yes i have closed that tab, and re-set "Tools..options set homepage to current., but this only works if I leave the comp on. When i switch it off, then back on it still goes to "FF welcome" page. Thanks:mad:

    Uninstall them both.
    Download and run CCleanerhttp://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Reinstall the one you want to use ^^

You can back up your bookmarks under Bookmarks, organize bookmarks, import and back up, backup.
To back up your passwords try this add on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2848/
Or you can manual backup your information http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/profiles
If its still not working try deleting your profile which will cause you to lose everything Firefox has saved like brand new.

It seems that you are using beta versions of Firefox. These are still in the testing stage and may still have bugs. You could try downloading the latest RTM version. Also worth letting Mozilla know of the bugs through there support forum as this is a free program and any support and help is always welcomed by them.
the following link will let you download firefox 3.6 rtm and has a link to the support forum

If you've tried FF 4.0 Beta you'd probably understand why the OP might want to stick with it. It is stunningly quick (or at least has been for me) compared with the current stable version but still has obvious issues (some frame rendering is lacking especially if watching streaming video, for example) although I haven't found them to detract from the overall performance and enjoyment.

I'd save my profile, uninstall both 3.6 and 4.0 beta versions, use CCleaner to tidy up and then - if you want to keep it, reinstall 4.0Beta. 4.0 has an inbuilt feedback icon on the toolbar so I'd suggest you use it to report the bug you appear to be having an issue with.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
