Use Dell Zino as general PC?

My mother wants to get a new PC. She would like to get something small and saw the Dell Inspiron Zino on their website. It is clearly intended to be used for video purposes which is not what she wants it for. She wants to use it for wordprocessing, email, web, and managing all her digital photos. Some reviews say the processor is quite slow, but is she going to notice it much? You get a choice between an AMD X2 3250E 1.5GHz 512k, and an AMD X2 6850E 1.8GHz 512k.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i think the main thing is what spec is her 'old' pc as they will tell if she will notice much difference. the Zino will be good enough for basic use's, ok it will never blow you away with the speed and you might have a small amount of 'lag' when opening something but if we are honest most people do not notice or care much about a second or 2 for a folder to open enough to use it,
depending on how much you are wanting to spend you could look at buying/building a lan system or a HTPC, cyber power systems do one which can be 'dropped' to under £600 but still contains full power parts, DinoPC do one which can be done for under £500 (and includes a core i3 CPU)Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Not sure what the spec of her PC is, but it was an early WinXP machine so must be around 8 years old. She's not going to notice a wait of a couple of seconds.
Looked at DinoPC but can't see anything with a small form factor and not sure I'm clear on the sizes of the cyberpower systems ones either. Are they comparable in size to the Zino? She really doesn't need all the multimedia stuff.0 -

are the ones i spotted, both need to be configured to get rid of some of the stuff to bring them down in price a little bit but they are the starting systemsDrop a brand challenge
