Should be getting married next week ....

... but all been cancelled because we had issues with the venue.

However, moving on .... we still have no date, venue and just cant find anywhere to suit our low budget now etc etc. Both me and OH have been a bit down lately, a lot of rubbish stuff going on and we have had issues over a major relationship stumbling block (children lol!!!). The wedding is on hold until I can get my head around having no more children.

Anyway, I love him with all my heart and want to show him next week that although we are not getting married, I do still love him. He is starting nights and we struggle to get a babysitter during the day so anyone got any ideas on how I can show him how much he means to me. I was thinking just a card but wanted to try and do something a little special, after all - this time next week would have been our wedding night.

Can you go out for the day - just the two of you? Have a nice meal somewhere?

Unfortunately he is working that night and during the day, we have no one to ask for baby sitting. :(

    How old are the children?
    Is nursery/childminder an option?

Now, that could be an option, although expensive may be worth it. Thank you.
Only one and she is 3 so could ask at nursery. Didnt think of that as I never put her in if I am not working, might be able to make an exception this time. :D

Heart shaped cutter and make heart sandwiches for him? Maybe some cheese straws shaped into a special message?

I just think that it would be nice to get dressed up and go out for a nice lunch or something - maybe even go for lunch at your dream wedding venue?

But I do also think that the little notes are a nice touch - put them around the house - attached to the cereal box, attached to the coffee mug, in his sock drawer....

write him a letter about how much he means to you,why he meansit to you, how much youve overcome together and how much youll do in the future together including getting married one day basically everything your feeling at the moment towards him and how much love youve got and what youve got to show
end it with 'because of this its a special day today just for us, ive planned lunch out/a picnic for just the two of us'

why cant you have anymore children:( you know if you stop wanting it so bad it will happen
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Thanks for the ideas dizzie, maysie and bubbles. :D
I will try and use all of those to make our day a little bit special (its also the day we met six years ago).
The children thing is not a can't, its a wont. he does not want more children and I know there is no way he will change his mind, no way at all. I feel so torn as I would love another child but I cant jeopordise our relationship. Trouble is, I cant get over it and I dont want to start getting bitter and twisted over it. :( I just hope I can bury it somewhere or I will lose the best thing in my life.
I guess I have to face it that we cant always have what we want in this life. :(
