Transferring savings from A&L to RBS

Does anyone know how long it takes for an online transfer to go through from an Alliance & Leicester savings account to an RBS Current A/c?

From what I've read here A&L have a very small faster payments limit (£250) so it will probably go through BACs and therefore take a few days0

Thanks. It's £10,000 that I have transferred. I am keen to get my money out of A&L. I have £70K savings and they are telling me my account was closed last August!! I can see my balance online. I am seriously worried and am going to try transferring £10,000 out of A&L every day until I have it safely back to RBS.
I don't want to phone them because their customer service is dreadful and I think they will just cause me more worry by telling me things I don't want to hear.0 -
From my experience with A & L the transfer can take quite a while. I dont blame you withdrawing it all, thats what I am going to do soon with that shower!:(0
