They leak in thru the pollen filter housing.

Open the bonnet, look at where the battery is at the back of the engine and see if under where the battery sits if full of water. If so, ask the garage to dran it out and unblock the drain holes in the bulkhead and to seal around the pollen filter housing too.

Highline is a good spec. Pity they were only 5 speed boxes unless you got the Sport or 2.5 V6...

A quick call to VW dealer with the reg. no. should confirm if any recalls have been done.

i think those prices are about right i paid 4900 for a highline estate with 50,000 on the clock and that was trade.the problem is there is still a real lack of low mileage good stock out there hence the inflated prices,,saying that in the last few weeks there has been a sign that second hand cars are starting to drop

Does it have electronic parking brake, if yes, that might cause problem.

Also, diesel particulate filter may clog if car is used for frequent short journeys.

    Otherwise they are good cars.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.
